About Us

About Us

For many years I had a dream, to own and work out of a mobile massage studio. In December 2016 I began to turn that dream into reality.  I purchased an old beat up 1964 Airstream Safari from a dealer in Albuquerque, and the renovation began.

A project like this requires many people and businesses to accomplish. Without the help of my ‘co-creators’ I’d still be fumbling along with the work only partially completed. Several people and businesses stand out.

  • SBDC of Southwest Colorado, who taught me how to create a business plan and market it
  • Theresa G, who first said ‘Esmeralda’ and I knew right away it was the perfect name
  • Long time friend Patty Z, who helped me begin the design process
  • A good friend Myra, kept me company on the long drive to Albuquerque in my ‘new’ 89 Dodge truck, where we picked up Esmeralda and towed her home to Pagosa Springs
  • Brandon at Busted Knuckle Auto Repair, for his patience with rewiring the electrical system
  • Merlin Wheeler “Chief Magician”, who traveled with me to Albuquerque on various occasions to purchase rustic cherry lumber, which he transformed into beautiful cabinetry. It wasn’t until we placed one of the partially completed cabinets in Esmeralda, that I realized my project was going to work.
  • Ace Hardware, for their patience and knowledge to help us purchase a variety of electrical and plumbing fittings for Esmeralda
  • Trish Lash from Earth Signs, who created the external graphics that makes Esmeralda stand out
  • Michael DeYoung Photography (and Lauri) for the lovely pictures!

In the end we had created a beautiful handcrafted massage studio that is ready for you to experience.
